Evidence Based Model
Neurosequential Model for Sport
Resilience Boxing integrates boxing, social work, and trauma recovery through an evidence-based framework informed by the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), developed by Dr Bruce Perry.

The NMT is a widely recognised, neuroscience-based approach that organises assessment and intervention according to the sequential development of the brain and the impact of trauma on neurobiological functioning.

Drawing on this model, Resilience Boxing programs are structured to first regulate the body, then engage the mind, and finally strengthen social and emotional connection. This sequencing reflects trauma-informed neuroscience, which demonstrates that healing and learning are most effective when the nervous system is stabilised and the body experiences safety before cognitive or relational work occurs.

Through this model, Resilience Boxing connects neuroscience, social work, and sport to create a structured, trauma-informed pathway from regulation to recovery, supporting participants to rebuild wellbeing, confidence, and connection.
